Foreshore Restoration

Seed and Sparrow acted as landscape consultants, working directly with Darryl Arsenault, a local biologist with expertise in the Green Shore Method, to develop a design to mitigate erosion and enhance habitat while integrating community use and enjoyment of the waterfront. Key locations along the shore were designated to receive the placement of logs, boulders and cobbles, and groupings of a variety of grasses and shrubs. These 'pocket' ecologies visually soften and physically buffer the shore from erosion. They add habitat for birds, fish, and other creatures, which further enriches the natural beauty that they provide.
